Another Adventure

So if you've been subscribed since last year before I took it down, you probably know that I started a fitness journey but it backfired. I failed to do my tasks consistently.

This year, I've decided to give it another try hoping that this will be the last time that I'm starting over again. This morning, I started jogging and it lasted for an hour. I guess all I need is a bit of motivation and hard work to accomplish my goal. I need to have a mindset that everything would be worth it even if it will take a lot of time to happen. I need to push myself hard but also know my limits.

So much for being a couch potato. Here's to getting fit! :)

New Year, New Fandoms

So I may not have been putting up new posts lately, and I genuinely apologize for that.

Taking a break from blogging might actually have given me some benefits; not including the downside that this blog has become as empty as a tank.

For the record, it's given me more time to fix myself up from all the things that I have been through the past 9 months. I turned fifteen, started attending college, gained more confidence, and even learned to put on some make-up. (If ever that's worthy to be part of this list)

But really, I can't even decide where to start if I were to retell my adventures during the times I wasn't online. Imagine discovering a whole new fandom. That's literally one of the things that happened to me. Guess what it is? Youtube!

I might actually make a list for youtubers that I highly recommend. It would be like recommending new books! Plus, books and youtubers are connected in a way - but that would be in another blog post.

I FEEL LIKE SOMEONE CAN SEE ME AS I'M WRITING THIS. GOODBYE!

Book Recommendations

Scroll down a bit and look at the right side of this blog. You'll see some books listed alphabetically. These books have become part of my life. Each one of them affected me in their own different ways.

I highly recommend ALL of these books.

Before making this blog, I've thought of ranking them with their authors but I just can't. You'll never regret ever reading anyone of these.

If you're not yet persuaded, just ask and I'll make a review of any of these books.

P.S. You can only see it in the web version of this blog.

My Instagram Feed - Then and Now

I've been using Instagram for almost a year. I can say that it's the best social networking site that I have used. I use it almost everyday. The reason why it's taking so much of my time is that I always try to post only the best photos that I have.
This post is pretty random because it's all about how I improved at taking pictures. And if you'd like to see more of my photos, follow me on Instagram! ---> @judangela

These are my very first photographs. I was just literally taking pictures of anything, I didn't care if no one liked them, I just wanted to post something everyday.

I was beginning to experiment with different angles and effects. I used lots of apps to edit my photos and they usually take a very long time.

I was starting to get the hang of it, so my photos looked like Tumblr posts. They look cute and everything, but they're not me. Too girly.

This format was inspired by @katia_mi, which is also an Instagram account. Her photos seem so sophisticated, and she's got tons of followers! Unfortunately, it didn't work for me.

This was the same effect that I used on my previous photos but this time I used lighter tones to create a neat effect. This was inspired by @catherinesomething.

Here comes the change. I've noticed that most of the users that @Instagram suggests are those with photos that look natural and doesn't have lots of filters. My previous photos do  require lots of editing so I decided to switch my format. These are the results.

All I wanted was for my photos to look natural and effortless. Do you think I'm able to show it in these current photos? Or should I go back to my previous format?

Instagram inspired me to not just settle on snapping photos of anything, anytime and anywhere. I'm very glad to get to have an account because it's the best that I have so far.
If you haven't made one, you better do it now!

Sincerely,

An IG Freak

Chelsi Nikkerud: Full of Awesomeness

This is Chelsi Hardcastle - Nikkerud. She's from Australia and lives with her husband. A beautiful person with a big heart and passionate voice. I'm not sure how I've gotten to like her so much, but all I know is that she has everything that you could ask for. I've been stalking her for like, a year and until now, she never fails to leave me in awe. She loves God and she's able to show it in everything she does. That's one of the things that drew me to her. She's very passionate when it comes to her Christian life but she doesn't forget to have fun!

So what do I love about her? EVERYTHING
Her voice complements her perfectly. She sings in the band called "Planetshakers" which I'm also a big fan. If you want to hear more of their life-changing music, you can check them out at www.planetshakers.com You'll thank me later ;)

Her personality is ideal for me. She just seems so effortless in everything. I know that I won't be like her but at least I'm lucky to have known her. She's very confident and always knows what she's doing. I've always wanted to be independent and free, and seeing her is a great inspiration for me. She's pretty wacky too, I guess.

When their band, "Planetshakers", came to visit the Philippines for a tour, I didn't hesitate for even a second. My cousin and I reserved tickets for the place nearest to the stage. It didn't matter that we had to stand the whole time, being 2 meters close to Chelsi was more than worth it. I even bought their latest album. In this way, I was able to get it autographed by all the band members, including Chelsi herself. When I was standing face to face with her with only just a table between us, I wasn't able to say a word. She tried talking to me but all I did was nod as an answer. Imagine the feels!

As a bookworm, a bookmark is your bestfriend. So, I made my own customized bookmark with pictures of Chelsi so I never have a dull moment when reading.

If this post interested you about Chelsi, you can check out her instagram account ---> instagram.com/chelsinikkerud
You'll love her too! :)

Finally a blogger.

I've always wanted to have a diary. I did have some, although I got tired of writing on them everyday. When I learned about blogging, an idea crept into my mind. I can share my thoughts anytime I want. Although, I try not to put to words everything, knowing that anyone could also check out my "diary" anytime they want to.

So, a few things about me:
  • I'm a proud Christian and I believe that Jesus is my Savior. <3
  • I love reading. You give me a book, and I'll chomp it down in seconds. (except for horror though)
  • I can play the piano. (a little bit)
  • I have one sister and the coolest parents in the world.
  • I'm not very artsy but I love photography.                                                           Check this out -> instagram.com/judangela
  • I love braiding my cousin's hair.
  • I dream of being a writer someday.
  • I'm currently a freshman in college this year.
  • I'm not sure what this means, but everybody tells me I'm a quiet person.
If you're asking about my blog name which is "eerietome" I'll explain it a bit. Some of you may have already heard (or read) the word "eerie" which means "weird" while "tome" is not that common. It simply means "a book or something to read". In general, "eerietome" means "weird book". I think it's the best way to describe myself and this blog.

And one more thing, my profile photo? That's just one of my fave characters from one of my fave books. He's Theo James from the book "Divergent" which was adapted into a movie. I'm still looking for a decent photo of myself. XD

That's all for now! I'm still trying to think of other things about me that I can share. Adios! :)
